Meet Blaire Borthayre…

Blaire Borthayre is a Mexican American speaker, trainer and consultant in the field of Hispanic marketing. She is the author of four industry specific Hispanic marketing books. As a child living with her grandmother who did not speak English, Blaire quickly learned how to build bridges between two cultures at an early age.  She was witness to the many hurdles that immigrants face and developed a lifelong passion for Hispanic advocacy.

Blaire began her career as a social worker and worked with many Hispanic immigrants in a health department in rural North Carolina. In 2003, she realized the gap between businesses and the Hispanic consumer was causing problems for her clients who needed goods and services.  Blaire began working with businesses to help them understand how to more effectively reach and serve the Hispanic community.  She now utilizes her real life experiences to guide companies towards an "in culture" marketing approach to maximize success.

Blaire continues her work as a volunteer in the immigrant community and maintains a database of Hispanic immigrants across the country which enables her to access feedback and products and services. By working directly with the people, she keeps her finger on the pulse of their feedback about goods and services in the United States.

Ms. Borthayre is an accomplished speaker and trainer. Her articles about Hispanic consumer behavior appear regularly in newspapers, magazines, and on internet sites. She has most recently appeared on NBC Nightly News, ABC Eyewitness News and National Public Radio.  In addition, Blaire is a graduate of the Hispanic Marketing and Communications program at Florida State University.

Her client roster has included Circuit City, Nationwide Insurance, Duke University, Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, and Ace Cash Express.
