Hispanic Marketing for Orthopedics

Research shows that there has been a steady increase in hip fractures in Hispanic women over the last twenty years. In fact, Hispanics in general face a huge fracture risk compared to other ethnicities. Hispanic immigrants often work in manual labor jobs in which the risk of injury is much higher. Lack of familiarity with U.S driving rates results in high accident rates among Hispanics. Since access to orthopedic care is rare in Latin America, immigrants are not familiar with the field or it's benefits.  Many will try home remedies or Curenderos (folk healers) even when referred by their general practioner. This is not a financial barrier as many are covered by Workers Compensation or employment insurance but rather a cultural one.  Orthopedic offices that focus on educational outreach in the appropriate cultural context can reach a tremendous untapped market. Simply translating your traditional messages into Spanish will not work. You must also establish trust by providing a Hispanic friendly environment. This webinar will teach you the best ways to reach, retain and grow your Hispanic patient base with free and low cost strategies.
